I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia and a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in South Carolina. I have helped individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years. I work with clients ages 18 to 99 presenting with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and relationship difficulties. I have also helped those affected by fear or isolation from COVID-19. I understand grief, loss, and bereavement occur not only with death, but also with job loss or poor health. Having been a hospice social worker, I have counseled individuals and families after loved ones receive terminal diagnoses.
I completed my Master of Social Work at University of Texas at Arlington and my Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling at Springfield College. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and relaxation techniques. I am ADHD-Certified.
I use a conversational style and collaborate with clients—individuals, couples, or families—to identify areas of concern. Together we analyze perceived difficulties and identify achievable goals. In a supportive, nonjudgmental relationship, I encourage open communication to resolve conflicts and misunderstandings.
