I see things differently. I see you fully able to achieve your goals. I see you as one who likely needs a non-judgmental place to talk about things: your future goals, how drug/alcohol use, etc fits w/that future, & how you see yourself getting there: abstinence, sober curious. moderation. I'm a collaborator, one who's committed to listening deeply & providing a space to talk about anything, for individuals/families/all. My main focus is on today & tomorrow though we may visit the past as we seek to understand your behavior. Gratefully the science of change & addiction shows there's no one way to recover/change!
My work is focused on your strengths and inner motivations. I work in partnership with all clients as you're the ones actually doing the hard work of change! Using such strategies as harm reduction, motivational interviewing, CBT, Brainspotting, and more as well as nutrition/exercise to support the brain/body, I'll help you find a way that works for you.
I am not a licensed therapist. That may be of concern to some but for others, this may be a positive. I am a Master's level health counselor with oodles of additional training to provide you with as many options as possible to help you succeed in creating the life you want. If I'm not able to help in 6-8 sessions, let me help you find someone who can.
