Guiding people toward a healthier life is my intention. My clients include people of all ages, from 3 to 103. I also provide counseling services to divorcing couples who wish to develop skills for helping their children through the process. I have worked in mental health for 20+ years, both in public and private sectors. I provide in-person and telemental sessions for adults. I require that children be seen in person. I believe that a successful counseling relationship depends on mutual trust. Id like the opportunity to find out if we can develop that relationship.

My specialties include helping children overcome grief, trauma and anxiety. I also focus on women’s issues including depression, trauma, aging related stigma, postpartum depression, infertility, pre-menopause and menopause.

I work with people of all ages who have feelings of sadness, anxiety or who have experienced trauma. Helping children who are suffering loss, including death of a loved one or divorce of parents, is especially important to me. I work with clients to learn the skills that they need to overcome such hardships. Most clients report improvement within the first few weeks.

I use several types of therapy within my practice. In your first session, we'll talk about the most effective strategies. I enjoy using hypnotherapy when the client is comfortable with it. It is surprisingly effective for most clients. I use CBT most often. CBT has us look at how thoughts affect feelings/emotions.
