I perceive my work as a psychotherapist as more privilege than profession. I work with people who need help identifying the obstacles that keep them from evolving and growing. Living with depression and anxiety inhibits a person from feeling emotional fulfillment and interferes with how people relate to themselves and others. We need a safe place in which to look at ourselves without fear of judgment and criticism. Feeling safe and supported leads to self acceptance, and growth. I provide guidance within such an environment.
My practice focuses on treating people with depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and other issues that effect the important relationships in one's life. My approach is an interactive and dynamic one and when working with couples I utilize an EFT model of treatment. Additionally, I have completed 3 levels of the Gottman Method.
