I believe that the single most important component of the treatment process is the therapeutic relationship. It develops over time as a product of trust in the therapist and feeling like you have been heard. It is the vehicle by which change comes about and the connection of feelings with thought gets translated into action.
I have been working as a clinical psychologist for the past 31 years and have been in private practice for the past 19. I work with adults, couples, and families who seek therapy for a variety of reasons. These include relationship problems, stress, anxiety, loss, low self-esteem, eating disorders, trauma, depression and pain.
