I have been in practice since 2002, helping adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I work collaboratively with clients from a biopsychosocial perspective, using the interrelationship between the mind and body as a focus for treatment. As a medical psychologist on hospital staff, I diagnose and treat psychological issues in outpatient or inpatient therapy.
My areas of expertise include Behavioral Medicine - Women's Health - Trauma Therapy - EMDR - Behavioral Weight Management, including Bariatric Evaluations - Pain Management - Coping Skills - Stress Management. I also specialize in Health Psychology and Trauma Psychology.
I received my Psy.D. and M.S. graduate degrees from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. I also received Health Psychology (Behavioral Medicine) and Women’s Trauma Specialization Certificates from there as well. My undergraduate B.S. degree is in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
