I believe psychotherapy is the opportunity to learn about yourself and to use this learning to make changes you haven't been able to make before. When we understand ourselves more deeply and honestly we can change how we relate to ourselves and others, how we handle distressing situations, and how we work toward meaningful accomplishments that are in line with our deepest values.
I have over 40 years working with a wide range of clients. I have particular experience with the GLBT community, adult survivors of childhood abuse, and also enjoy working with couples to reconnect, improve communication and constructively resolve conflicts.
I use a client centered approach allowing for clients to determine their own path while identifying strengths and roadblocks, searching for more adaptive coping strategies.
