At Hope Reins we use horses in counseling. No horse back riding is involved though! And you may wonder how this works. Since horses are very sensitive and don't lie, you will have a chance to really "see" what works. You will have a chance to try new solutions to old problems and get immediate feedback. Since horses respond to non verbal communication, this approach can help those who struggle with verbal communication. And for those for whom traditional approaches have failed there is still hope! There is much more to explain so call us if you are curious!

HorsePower Summer Camp

HorsePower Tools Camp focuses on developing emotional IQ by working with horses. The skills we develop are Responsibiltiy, Respect, Relationship Skills, Empathy, Boundaries and Choices and Consequences. The best part is that these skills are not just "taught" but practiced with the horses! It is a fun and unforgettable way to learn valuable social and emotional skills necessary to succeed in lfe. Activities are all ground based. The ages are 7-11 and 12-19. Dates are June 12-16, July 17-21, Aug 7-11.
