My approach is holistic and collaborative. Together, we work to deeply understand your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental way. By approaching your inner world with curiosity and care, we can reduce distress and build greater self-esteem, self-acceptance, and compassion. Because internal conflict often fuels the very struggles that bring people to therapy, easing that conflict is central to healing. For therapy to be effective, it requires an active effort from both of us: your willingness to be open and engage, and my commitment to support and guide you.
The most important relationship you will have is the one with yourself- it shapes how you see the world and influences the quality of all of your relationships. As you begin to heal and grow, your ability to experience closeness and intimacy naturally deepens. In our work together, I can help you strengthen your relationships and develop healthy boundaries.
My 30 years of clinical experience has taught me to approach everyone as an individual. I adjust my approach to the needs of each person. I use parts work, guided imagery and a variety of psychological techniques to meet your therapy goals. If you contact Dr. Miller, please include your availability, type of insurance and why you're starting therapy.
