My wide range of experience provides me with the ability to approach many situations you may be facing with confidence and knowledge. I want to start where you are and I will respect your goals in the therapeutic process. I understand your need for confidentiality, privacy and trust. I have enjoyed providing extensive work and focusing my continued education on helping those with PTSD (to include military combat related PTSD), chronic illness, chronic pain, relationship problems, life transition issues, mood disorders, and personality disorders.
Through the years I have worked in medical social work, psychiatric social work, provided crisis intervention in emergency rooms and trauma units, worked with the aging in the community, spent many years in private practice and worked extensively with active duty military and their families.
The challenges which complicate our lives may also be opportunities for positive change. We often look for ways to manage and cope with complex life situations and emotions. Therapy is about change and growth. While utilizing an evidence-based therapy, I seek to assist you in your process of change and growth.
