For the past 29 years, I have been a clinical therapist. My clientele covers the adolescent through the geriatric populations. I specialize in a range of affective and anxiety disorders, including Bipolar Disorder, panic attacks, agoraphobia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and anxiety due to medical conditions. I also work with substance abusers. I use an eclectic approach to therapy. One technique is insight-oriented in which I ask exploratory questions with the purpose of ferreting out what is behind one's problem.2
Another method is called Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which involves tracking destructive thought patterns in order to replace them with a healthier outlook, thus resulting in positive behavioral changes. Overall, I am in interactive therapist who believes it is helpful to respond to a clients' concern with feedback and an exchange of ideas.
I tailor my hours to suit my clients' schedules, so I'm available to see clients between 7am and 9pm throughout the week. I place the utmost importance on my clients' confidentiality and cultivate a relationship of respect. This provides a safe environment where clients can feel comfortable enough to discuss personal problems.
