When our early experiences with our caregivers and families are fraught with persistent conflict, misattunement, emotional neglect or abuse, we react to these distressing encounters by developing beliefs, feelings and behaviors to help us maintain safety within these relationships, and minimize mental and emotional pain. FOR ADULTS GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A SPOUSE TO CANCER. A virtual support group offering a sensitive forum for navigating reality following deep loss. Topics include dispelling myths about grieving, understanding the impact of loss over time, examining the significant life adjustments that coincide with the loss of a loved one, acknowledging regrets and living without closure, and coping with grief on a day to day basis. Through the sharing of stories with others who have experienced a similar loss, you may feel less isolated, find a sense of relief and understanding, and discover a capacity for hope and acceptance.
