I am a licensed doctor of clinical psychology (Ph.D. from USC), working in SCV for over 30 years. I love people and it has always been my dream to help them achieve the ability to handle their lives in the most satisfying way. We are all human. We all have our own struggles. We experience depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addictions, or simply difficult transitions in life. It is important to know that no one is forever "sick," no relationship ever "broken," or anyone for that matter who is beyond repair. Together, I will work with you (or your loved one) through the issues that have brought you into therapy.
I see my role as helping people learn the skills they need to make the changes they want. This has to happen in an atmosphere of compassion and empathy. I'm able to tailor my treatments to fit the needs of my clients, giving them the best chance for a success. I'm a directive therapist but I have no issues when clients need a change in how therapy is going.
Compassion is central to my therapy with a client. It is so important to me that my clients feel welcome when we are together. I believe in empowering my clients to speak from their personal truth and learn the skills they need to reach their full potential. Without empathy for my clients this would be impossible.
