My goal is for my clients to feel hope when they leave my office. I believe there are times when folks are lacking the tools to get back on track after they have been derailed by life. I believe healing starts within the therapeutic relationship and I look forward to connecting with clients! My job is to help them on their journey in working toward a healthy outlook and better connections in their relationships. I enjoy working with those who are dealing with grief & loss issues, trauma, relationship struggles, anyone who just need someone who cares.

I am a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist and have watched clients become released from traumatic pasts using EMDR. I also employ Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) because it eliminates shame! EFT is present-focused, non-blaming & client-centered. EMDR allows for true healing from trauma. Dare to give it a try?!

One of my areas of expertise is trauma and grief/loss. I completed my doctoral dissertation on adolescent grief. This research, along with my personal experience as a widow, is valuable in working with individuals who have lost someone they love.

I like to say that when trauma happens, it gets locked in the body. I use EMDR to unlock it and free you from the past. I will first help you learn tools to regulate your emotions, then we will address the trauma memory. It is liberating.
