I offer a safe, positive, empathetic, and productive clinical environment that addresses individual needs. My treatment approach offers hopeful solutions without stigma, judgment, or empty labels. I challenge self-deception while encouraging assertiveness, authenticity, resilience, and conscious awareness. My style is interactive and engaging. Attention is placed on the patient's immediate experience and constructively expressing what is most real and alive in their inner world. When fears and barriers are shared in this relationship of trust, we set the groundwork for new possibilities and healing.
My education includes a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University with a concentration in clinical practice. I have received post graduate training in the Gottman method for couples therapy. My expertise includes working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, loss, grief, depression, trauma, complicated relationships, and self esteem.
I have practiced in the mental health field for 25 years with diverse populations, including experience in outpatient psychotherapy, domestic violence services, inpatient behavioral health, addiction treatment, and a psychiatric emergency program.
