I have been fortunate to have worked for many years as a therapist, work that I love. Over the years I have been able to help patients from very young to very old, affluent and struggling financially, individuals, couples and children. My role changes to match the issues you bring to the sessions. I am interested in the stories we tell about ourselves. We will work on telling the rich story of your life so you can better reach your goals. When you are thriving, the people around you thrive as well.
I have been trained in many techniques - Trauma Focussed, Attachment Based, Mindfulness, "CBT", the list is long. I do draw on that training. But in the end studies agree that the relationship is the heart of effective therapy. I can offer that connection which may help to facilitate the change you are hoping for.
Trauma in some form comes to all of us, I think. Sometimes we need a neutral party to be part of managing those feelings that come with the traumatic experience. Whether you are experiencing inner conflict, conflict with a partner or family or are haunted by events of the past, I am open to exploring whether I am a good fit for you as you find your way.
