Is your child struggling, anxious or depressed? Today's adolescents, as well as middle and elementary school age children are under a great deal of stress, whether it is social, academic, familial, or a combination of all these factors. In this complex world, children often have difficulty navigating their environment. This may cause children to act out in inappropriate ways. For the past 30 years, I have helped numerous children to reach their full potential. Approximately 40% of my practice are children and adolescents; I also treat adults of all ages, including geriatric patients.
Since play is the natural means of expression for children, toys become their words and play therapy becomes a safe and effective form of therapy for them to process their fears, worries, traumas and learn healthier, and age appropriate coping skills.
For 30 years, I have gained experience and expertise in treating trauma, abuse, neglect, anxiety, depression, loss, foster care, foreign and domestic adoptions, ADHD, school and academic issues, divorce and resultant painful memories. In a safe and non judgmental environment together we will identify strengths and begin to find new hope.
