Helping people navigate life's challenges is my passion. I believe in relationships, and enjoy working with clients to help them develop healthier connections within themselves, with friends and family, and with society. I also take a particular interest in teaching clients coping skills to manage their distress, including mindfulness and yoga. I am experienced in guiding individuals, couples, and families through relationship challenges, grieving difficulties, life transitions/divorce, and trauma. I'm able to connect compassionately with resistant adolescents and teach their parents more effective ways to understand and support them through those often tumultuous years.
I am intensively trained by Behavioral Tech in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and am a Level 2 Internal Family Systems therapist. I am trained in EMDR by the EMDR Institute. I use my life experience, as well as the lessons I've learned from my wonderful clients, to help guide others to their best Selves.
Besides being licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. I bring these unique abilities together to create a therapeutic atmosphere focusing on both acceptance and behavioral changes. I've been the fortunate witness for many clients' amazing life transformations.
