Making the decision to see a therapist can be very uncomfortable. Knowing this, it is my privilege as your therapist to provide a safe place for you to begin, or continue your personal therapeutic journey. Through the safety of the relationship that is formed in the counseling office, you will be able to explore who and where you are in your life, and uncover thinking and behavior patterns which are getting in your way, as well as uncover the tools you need to change these destructive patterns. It is my hope to help you find that safe place to begin to work toward making the changes you need to live the life you deserve.
I believe positive emotional health begins with an awareness of oneself in environment. Knowing yourself is the beginning to realizing which coping mechanisms (tools) work for you, and which ones might possibly look like they are working for you, but are in effect a hindrance to your emotional well being.
The journey to wholeness begins with self-acceptance. Recognizing which 'life-scripts' are directing your path is mandatory for clearing away outdated or possibly even destructive thoughts which lead to behavioral responses. Through therapy, I will provide empathic listening and feedback to help you unravel this material and find solutions.
