I have been a social worker for over 34 yrs. My practice is called Discover You Counseling. I'm licensed in SC & MA. I see clients in-person in Easley, SC and via teletherapy for MA clients. I am certified in EMDR, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, can assist with anxiety, depression, anger management, OCD, ODD, Bipolar, & parenting issues, among others. I specialize in working with teens and young adults; I also work with adults. I assist clients in settings goals and taking steps toward achieving their goals. I will be there on your journey, but you will do the heavy lifting.
My style is non-clinical and relaxed. I especially enjoy working with clients motivated to make positive changes in their life, even if they don't know what direction to go in. I utilize both time-tested and newer unique methods; whatever works best for my client. I believe in the healing power of laughter; which often finds its way into my sessions.
Some techniques I use: EMDR, EFT (tapping), CBT, coaching, Rebirthing, Rational Emotive Therapy, problem-solving, Exposure Therapy. If you are feeling overwhelmed, confused or just want to make improvements in your life give counseling a try. I believe in the healing power of laughter so be prepared to find your way, while enjoying a bit of humor.
