I believe in providing a safe space for clients to feel heard and accepted and to meet each client where they are at on their journey. My goals is for all clients to feel valued and respected. As well, I belief that all people are capable of creating positive change in their lives. I have experience working with adults & adolescents, individuals, couples, and families to address a wide scope of issues including grief and loss, substance abuse, life transitions, parenting issues, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, stress- and anger-management, and trauma. I also have experience working with impaired professionals.
I have 23 years experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor and 12 years experience as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Based on the individual needs of each client, I employ therapeutic approaches to include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral, TBRI, Mindfulness, Strength-based, Person-Centered and Solution-Focused.
My approach to therapy is simply a partnership with my clients in which we walk side by side through their journey of healing and personal growth.
