I work with all populations of clients. I am especially interested in working with client with bipolar disorder and PTSD. I started my journey in doing therapy because my brother struggled with bipolar disorder and addiction for many years. For many years he could not find the care he needed, so he struggled more than he had to. I want help client learn about their mental health and how to manage their symptoms, so they can lead healthy productive lives.
I take CEU courses to continue my education and I have been certified in grief counseling, post-partem depression, and have taken courses for bipolar disorder, PTSD, Autism, DBT, and cognitive behavioral skills. I am licensed in the states of Minnesota, Nebraska, and Iowa. I am a certificate supervisor, so I can provide supervision to other therapists.
I love work with all populations. I would describe my therapy style as integrative. I like to get to know and understand my clients during my sessions, so they are comfortable and trust me enough to share their stories. I am compassionate about my work and care about my clients. I try to advocate for them if they need help in other areas of care
