Deanna Miesch, LPC-S, MAAT, ATR-BC, Art Therapist in Austin
With 20 years of experience in Art Psychotherapy, I offer many tools to clients that are useful long after therapy has ended. My approach is eclectic and relational, meeting you where you are in life, and helping you develop a path to achieve your goals. Learn how to use art making as your guide, and witness the changes you seek. If you desire a new, effective approach, Art therapy may be your answer. Are you ready? Change your world and the world changes with you! Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor (LPC-S).
Creative expression affords opportunities to literally step back and examine life from alternate perspectives, revealing new relationships, constructs, and interpretations not so readily apparent. Working in a different language--visual language--frees inhibitions and barriers that can be challenging to overcome through traditional talk therapies.
I offer Art Therapy, CRM, EMDR therapy, EFT and talk therapies in a supportive and creative environment. In June of 2003 I founded Art Therapy Austin, and in the fall of 2011, I created a permanent home in the East End iBiz District: a beautiful 1000 sf studio space.
