I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in California for over 25 years as a counselor. I have worked with many individuals, couples, teens and children. My goals is to provide compassionate quality care and assist individuals in reaching their highest potential. My approach is integrative using many modalities providing a safe, nurturing and caring environment. I also teach parenting classes and parenting groups. My speciality is working with Clients who have experienced a traumatic event or early childhood abuse using EMDR as an effective Therapuetic process.
My intention is to support my clients to gain greater insights and break free from self-defeating thoughts and behaviors and create lasting change and healing. In the first session we start with introductions and go over informed consent.
I then ask questions regarding the person, couple or family what their intention for therapy is and if they have experience of therapy before. Then we go into why they are seeking support. I then begin taking a history so that I can build repore and start formulating a treatment plan.
