As a solution-focused therapist, I aim to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to understand better and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may hold you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call or email me for an individual, couples, or
family therapy
consultation today.

Some of the challenges included but not limited to sexual issues, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues,
family
conflict, anger management, domestic abuse and other mental health issues.
Each individual goes through different milestones in life that encompasses expected and unexpected challenges. These challenges maybe difficult to handle without the appropriate support. My focus is to assist my clients through these challenges by providing a caring and empowering environment that will activate their healing process and create a successful outcome. My greatest challenge is the love of helping people working through their challenges.

My goal is to help people feel better and function better. Most people come for help because they don't feel well emotionally or they have problems in dealing with others. Work stress,
family
dynamics or even the inability to find a meaningful relationship are common in today's world. Together we explore new options. I belief that individuals go through life making the best decisions they can given the information they have. No one gets up in the morning and thinks, "today I will shoot myself in the foot," yet in hindsight some decisions could have been better.

Institute of Philadelphia (American Association of Marital &

Is it time for change? For over 20 years, I've helped clients to heal emotionally, repair relationships, and discover their unique paths to personal and professional satisfaction. I use a holistic ("whole person") approach, and will help you find the answers already within you. I'll help you learn to listen to yourself (and your partner or
family
members), and face your fears. I'll give you objective feedback and specific tools. My office is a safe, peaceful setting in which to explore troubling situations, conflicts and self-defeating patterns, as well as to rediscover and reclaim your strengths.

Additionally I enjoy working with parents on exploring
family
dynamics, increasing skillful communication, and reducing reactivity in themselves and their kids.
Creating an environment where clients can grow to understand themselves, make changes they want, and truly thrive is my goal. The approach I take is eclectic in that I don’t subscribe to a single form of therapy but pull from many areas in order to meet my client’s needs. My endless curiosity about people, and belief in the ability of individuals to grow, be more accepting and kinder to themselves, drives the work I do.

What I cherish the most in being a therapist is the opportunity to work along with my clients to help them build their solutions towards a desired future. Nelson Mandela is known for saying "It's always seems impossible until it is done". At some point in our lives we might feel discouraged afraid or stuck. This is not to say that with a little help we can overcome our challenges and find a new path towards growth and fulfillment.

Life can be challenging, and we are not always equipped with the tools to deal with it in the best way possible. Sometimes work,
family
, school, anxiety, depression, trauma, lack of self-worth, unhealthy coping skills, & all sorts of other things can overwhelm us & impact how we handle what comes our way. If you are feeling stuck, unsure, having challenges at work, school, or home that are leading to feelings of low self-worth, anxiety and/or depression, talking to someone could help ease some of these symptoms, burdensome thoughts and unpleasant feelings.

Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
