Are you a parent of a child who has recently come out to you as LGBTQ+? Are you looking for non-bias support on how to best navigate supporting your child while keeping them safe? There is a lot of misinformation available to teens and adults about gender and sexual diversity. On one side there can be pressure from popular culture to choose an identity and live by that standard, and on the other side homophobic/transphobic groups impose their views as facts. It can be difficult as a parent to know what information is valid and how to best support your child.
I went into relational therapy to provide support to sexually and gender diverse kids, to give them a safe space to explore and understand their identities as a unique experience to them. All kids need loving supportive parents who provide a safe place for them to figure out who they are, just like we did when we were young.
I provide LGBTQ+ affirming family and individual therapy. I want to support teens by being a safe place for them and their parents to learn and ask questions without feeling judged. My only goal is to help children and their parents meet a common ground that allows you to maintain healthy, loving, and respectful relationships.

I've had the pleasure of working with unique groupings in relational therapy - siblings, adult child and parent, same-sex couples, etc. I work with all clients from a relational, or systemic lens. Treatment involves a deep exploration of self, individual values, and learning to respect and honor the values of others. Clients can expect change through fun and engaging exercises.

In studying many therapy methods, I have found that three things are important in any kind of therapy: mind/body/emotional awareness, inner-child and trauma work, and understanding relational patterns. All therapies practice some version of each of these. It is my goal to use the methods that fit best with each client.
