If you feel stuck in old patterns or weighed down by past pain, therapy can help you reconnect—with yourself, your values, and the people who matter most. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, feeling disconnected, or carrying experiences from the past that still shape your present, you don’t have to face it alone.

I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships, sex therapy, sexuality and gender identity, LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM and polyamory/ENM.
I come to this work understanding that starting therapy can feel vulnerable - and you don't have to navigate it alone. My approach is guided by the belief that everyone deserves to feel possible and how therapy should be a warm, collaborative and non-judgmental space rooted in curiosity and compassion. I primarily approach this work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based therapy lens that thoughtfully integrates the use of attachment work, EMDR, DBT, narrative, sex therapy, ACT, mindfulness and somatic/body based practices, allowing us to move beyond insight alone—supporting change that is felt, not just understood.

Welcome to my practice. Maybe you're dealing with stress, depression, transitions, all of the above. Has your anxiety has been harder to cope with? What about your relationships? Everyone goes through periods in their life where they could use support, and this is a space where your mental health is the focus. While emotions may seem unmanageable at times, I believe therapy can help you gain the tools to work through them and live in light of them.

I think people are resourceful. Throughout our lives, we develop purposeful strategies to manage, survive, or thrive in our given circumstances. Therapy with me means having the space to be curious about your current strategies, understand where and how they developed, and to identify the ones that you feel are still working well and which you'd like to change to better align with what is most important to you today. I believe that therapy is just one of many ways a person can work on their healing. However, it is an enormously valuable space, and I’d be honored to share it with you.

Results-oriented, compassionate and "Relentless work ethic" are words patients have described me. I take a "whatever it takes empathic attitude" serving patients suffering from depression, psychosis, eating disorders, substance abuse disorders, and family dysfunction. I spent my most of my career practicing in DC's Ward 7 and Ward 8 servicing DC's most vulnerable lower income populations. I have experience with The Department of Behavior Health as a crisis supervisor, ACT clinical supervisor and a Child/Adult psychotherapist.

I also work with dating, premarital, long-term, polyamorous, and discerning couples.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward in their relationships or within themselves. My role is to slow overwhelming experiences, identify patterns driving distress, and create space for meaningful, sustainable change. I view emotional struggles as relational patterns shaped by past experiences, unmet needs, and protective responses. In therapy, we gently uncover these patterns so you can respond differently, connect more authentically, and feel more grounded. I work with couples experiencing conflict, distance, trust concerns, or disconnection.

As a clinician, I am focused on helping clients find a life of meaning and value. Often times in our pain there is incredibly useful information about what is important to us. As humans, we have evolved to move away from physical pain, to escape it: and for most types of pain, those methods work! But for emotional pain, avoidance not only doesn’t get rid of our pain and suffering, it often amplifies it. In discovering how each individual client finds meaning in their lives, we ground ourselves in the willingness to walk toward our pain, rather than away from it. It is in this space that we find healing and meaningful change.
