We all face difficulties at some point in life. Psychotherapy is a process of understanding the source of these difficulties, and working to understand and address them, in the context of an empathic therapeutic relationship. I am particularly concerned with how we create a meaningful life, engage in intimate relationships, and feel authentic connection with others. My clinical areas of interest include relationship issues, anxiety, depression, sexual identity/fluidity, and racial/cultural trauma.

The populations with whom I work are adults, children, and couples. My primary modalities are CBT and psychodynamic approaches using Two-Person Psychology & Relational Theory. I focus on the importance of the therapist being part of the therapeutic process, and working with people from the beginning of treatment until the end; never wanting the client to feel they are alone on this journey. I hope my process of engaging positively and realistically helps my clients feel confident in themselves so that they can find the courage and fortitude to make the healthy, functional adjustments and changes to themselves which they desire.

I view therapy—whether it’s individual, couples, or family—as a team effort to uncover the barriers that stand between you and your happiness. Together, we will delve into past and present behaviors, thoughts, and relationships, drawing connections that can inspire positive change. My goal is for us to work hand in hand to create not just a path through the storm but also a way for you and your family to truly flourish.

There is nothing like being listened to and understood on a deep level, with genuine interest and acceptance. This is what I strive to offer in therapy or analysis, as we explore together your hopes and dreams, your losses and regrets, your longings and fears. Many people come to therapy to free themselves from self-defeating patterns and the legacy of past traumas, so they can be more truly themselves in relation to others and live with greater satisfaction and meaning. My analytic training enables me to work intensively, and I enjoy incorporating experiential techniques like journaling, psychodrama, and art.

Most of the problems that bring people to therapy began as solutions—ways of coping with difficult relationships, overwhelming feelings, or early environments that required you to adapt quickly. At one time, those strategies made sense. But over time they can become rigid. Anxiety lingers. Depression returns. Relationships repeat familiar tensions. What once protected you begins to limit you.
Therapy offers a different kind of relationship—one where we can examine those patterns carefully and develop greater freedom in how you respond to your life.

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, but it’s often the first toward meaningful insight and lasting personal growth. We understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Our approach is tailored to you—whether you’re working through past experiences, navigating present challenges, or seeking greater balance in your life. You don’t have to do it alone.
Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly and working toward change.

Do you find it hard to close your laptop or turn off work notifications, even when the day is technically over? Does your body still feel buzzy with unused energy, like you are bracing for the next email or request? Even during downtime, it can feel difficult to truly relax or step out of work mode. Many of the women I work with feel pressure to stay constantly available, struggle to say no, and worry about being seen as incompetent or unreliable if they slow down. That fear of dropping the ball often leads to overworking, people pleasing, and emotional exhaustion, even when things are going well professionally.
