Sex & porn addiction (CSAT), affair recovery, sexuality issues, internet addiction, and substance addiction (CMAT) are my specialties. I also work with trauma/PTSD (EMDR), depression and anxiety. Not just endless talk, talk, talk that goes nowhere. I use multiple evidence-based mental health treatments combined with genuine compassion and care so that my clients feel better sooner. If they're open to it, I often give my clients specific handouts or homework to do during the week. I don't believe in forcing the client to do something that isn't working. I begin where you are.

A number of things can get in the way of us having the life that we want. My role in therapy is to help clients think through strategies to enable them better navigate the transitions and the difficult circumstances they encounter to ultimately become the person they want to be. Therapy is about living an authentic life by taking action on the things that matter most to us, living in the direction of what we see as valuable, and engaging fully in what we do. Let me help you become "unstuck" from old patterns and develop the tools to live a more satisfying life. You do not have to figure this out on your own.

Gambling Therapists
A compulsive gambler or a pathological gambler is someone who is unable to resist his or her impulses to gamble. The urge to gamble becomes so great that tension can only be relieved by more gambling.

There is a very fine line between problem gambling or Washington gambling addiction and gambling too much. The critical sign of problem gambling is often hidden from awareness, with denial. Many gamblers in Washington typically do not know they have a problem. Admitting you have a problem, or may have a problem, is the first step to recovery.

Treatment options include individual and group psychotherapy, and self-help support groups such as Gamblers Anonymous (a 12-step program for gamblers). Abstinence principles that apply to other types of addiction are also relevant in the treatment of compulsive gambling behavior in Washington.

Recently, medications such as antidepressants, opioid antagonists, and mood stabilizers have been shown to be beneficial in combination with gambling treatment by a Washington gambling therapist or gambling therapists in Washington or those experienced with gambling behaviors in Washington.
