I provide therapy to adults 18yrs+. My practice is trauma-informed, and I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals. I’m a generalist, and therefore can help those who are dealing with a variety of concerns, such as constant worry, difficulty in relationships, struggles with instances of violence or discrimination, self-critical thinking, emptiness, panic attacks, low mood, disconnection, identity development, life transitions, etc. While there are many methods of healing, therapy can be an important piece of your wellbeing, and I can help guide you towards a more self-aware, satisfying, and meaningful life.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or struggling to cope with grief, depression, trauma, or major life changes. Sometimes people come to therapy because they’ve spent years taking care of everyone else while losing touch with themselves. I work with adults who want more than just symptom relief, they want to better understand themselves, feel more connected in relationships, and create lasting change in their lives.

I work with a wide range of clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds in person and remotely. Clients learn to reduce stress and work with their feelings in ways that lead to personal growth and development. Mindfulness, deep breathing body awareness and Jungian dream work are used to reduce anxiety, depression, excessive self-criticism, perfectionism, detachment and emotional flooding. These problematic feelings can lead to growth, greater empathy for self and others as well as greater kindness towards others in their life when worked with creatively in psychotherapy. A more positive and secure sense of self will develop.

I believe that no matter where you’re starting from—transformation is possible. Within the safety of a therapeutic relationship, I will work with you to develop new ways to respond to life's challenges. Therapy is most successful within the context of a strong therapeutic relationship. This means that, as your therapist, I work to build an atmosphere that’s rooted in safety, openness, and mutual respect, in which you feel heard and understood. I am currently completing training in EMDR through the Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy, an approach that can help reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic experiences over time.

In addition to traditional talk therapy to glean how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors inform your process, I use mind-body awareness, emotionally focused therapy and provide psychoeducation about the neuroscience of trauma to help you understand, identify, and achieve optimal well-being.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to accomplish their goals. My role is to help you uncover and understand the obstacles and trauma that are getting in the way of achieving what you desire, and then help you tap into your inner resources to succeed. With empathy and authenticity, I work alongside my clients to promote healing and discovery of their power to change. Whether you are experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, grief and loss; problems with relationships, parenting, or self-esteem; or a general sense of disconnectedness – whatever it is – I recognize that therapy is self-work, and it's not easy.

Do you feel like you’re holding everything together on the outside, but inside you’re tired, overwhelmed, or quietly discouraged? Maybe work, relationships, or family dynamics have shifted in ways that no longer feel sustainable, and you’re not sure how to respond. You may find yourself being hard on yourself, pushing through, and carrying it alone — even though it’s not really working anymore. Therapy is a place to slow things down, sort out what’s yours versus what’s situational, and move forward with more clarity and self-assurance. Taking back the reins is a very empowering process and will be worth your time and energy.

Are you someone who has always carried the weight of expectations- balancing family, culture, identity, belonging, mental wellbeing, and personal ambitions? You might be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or lingering effects of generational trauma. Perhaps you're struggling with setting boundaries, feeling overwhelmed by familial responsibilities, or dealing with the unspoken rule that mental health isn't something we talk about.
Deep down, you want to feel heard, understood, and valued. You want to break cycles, heal from past wounds, and develop a stronger sense of self.

When a particular area of life is less rewarding or is problematic, you may seek assistance rediscovering your path to mental health. Understanding that therapy is more likely to be helpful when you feel comfortable with your therapist, and hopeful about the therapy, my approach emphasizes accessing each person’s unique strengths and resources in order to facilitate growth, new learning, and fulfillment. I use a person-centered integrative approach drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and somatic theories to work collaboratively with you toward mutually agreed-upon goals.

Have you felt that therapy has not helped enough, yet? Maybe you have a sense its time for deeper connection to self. Are your behaviors and choices driven by fear of losing relationships? Been busy clicking-off professional achievements? Have a sense you’re not yet sure who you are, authentically? Perhaps following someone else’s plan is no longer an effective strategy? Are infertility, chronic pain/health conditions a reality for you? Do you distract yourself with technology, work, substances, sex, love, food, etc? Is compartmentalizing overwhelming feelings less effective?
