Let’s get right to it! We’ve all been there: pain, grief, trauma, and life transitions that now manifest as depression and anxiety. Guess what? You’ve landed in the right place. Acknowledging that you need support is the first step, so you’re already on the right track. Let me support you in getting back to your best self. Feeling like you don’t know where to start? No problem! Therapy doesn’t have to be rigid, uncomfortable, or daunting. It starts with YOU being open to talking through the things that are keeping you from greatness! I am excited to connect and help you find what you need to navigate challenges in a healthy way.

There are times when things are not going as well as we'd like in our family, social or work relationships, particularly post-Covid. You may feel alone, depressed, anxious, or have conflict or discomfort with those you care about. In my psychotherapy practice I help couples, individuals & families restore their sense of well being and connection. People learn how to be more present and intentional in accordance with their values. Partners learn to be safely available to each other through a dialogue process that teaches more effective listening, deeper understanding and empathy. In person and Telehealth meetings are offered.

I view therapy as an invitation to bring awareness to the here and now. For many of us, we press forward, through, and over difficult feelings when they arise in our daily lives. Often they show up as unwanted thoughts or images. They not only fill us with dread, but we will go to great lengths to avoid them. On the other hand, what if moving toward our feelings actually reduces the influence they have over us, allowing us to attend to the very things we value, thereby creating meaning and purpose in our lives.

Choosing to enter therapy can be a difficult decision, but finding and connecting with the right therapist will play a significant role in the healing process. I believe this healing is achieved through an authentic and collaborative therapist-client relationship and by providing a supportive and nonjudgmental environment in which clients feel safe to explore difficult issues. There are myriad reasons people enter therapy: for problems that have a direct correlation to a cause or for problems that are imprecise, but impact their quality of life.

Life is a journey, and often we get lost along the way. Psychotherapy is a transformative process that helps you to locate your internal compass, so that you can live a more fulfilling and productive life; navigate difficult periods and transitions; and ultimately feel more comfortable in your own skin. As a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst, I have years of experience and training working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career obstacles, self-esteem, family discord, grief and loss, defeating patterns of behavior, and the process of coming to terms with difficult and traumatic life situations.

Welcome, I’m Jas—and I’m glad you’re here! My style of therapy is warm and includes a touch of humor. Most importantly, my approach is tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT and ACT to support deeper self-understanding, practical coping skills, and personal growth. For couples, I incorporate Imago Relationship Therapy and the Gottman Method to foster open communication and renewed connection. For premarital counseling, I use assessments to help you explore your individual and shared values as you prepare for your new chapter together.

My ideal client is interested in self-discovery as they heal prior wounds and address current life changes or difficulties. They may be struggling with changes in life circumstances, with depression, with family issues (current or past), with new responsibilities, with aging, trauma or grief. They want to resolve the current pain, and also to know more about who they are and their life trajectory. They may be of any age, but need some help navigating current or historical challenges.

Every one of us, at some point in our lives, encounters difficulty and hardship. At times, the challenges we find ourselves facing may seem insurmountable. Perhaps you had a difficult and painful childhood that interferes with your ability to find happiness and comfort. Maybe your current or past relationships have been draining and confusing—full of conflict and hurt. Have you recently experienced something life-altering or traumatic? Or, are you struggling with unwelcome feelings and behaviors that impact your health, relationships, or career? Whatever obstacles you’re facing, therapy can be an invaluable and freeing experience.
