My background includes 12 years supporting military families through grief, extensive Buddhist practice and teaching since the 90s, and firsthand experience navigating hearing loss and chronic illness.
My ideal clients are adults navigating the complex emotional terrain of chronic illness and health challenges. They often struggle with anxiety, depression, grief over lost capabilities, and difficulties adjusting to a new normal. Many feel isolated or misunderstood by those who haven't experienced chronic health issues. They seek a space to process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and find meaning despite physical limitations. Their goals typically include reducing distress, improving relationships strained by illness, advocating effectively for their needs, and reclaiming agency in their lives.

I realize that all of these profiles start to sound alike, especially when you're already feeling overwhelmed. And all the different types of therapy can add to the confusion. In 25 years of practice, I've learned that it is the client-therapist relationship, more than the modality that heals.
My clients appear successful but struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, and self-sabotage. Many have spent years prioritizing others and lost touch with what they want for themselves. These struggles have roots in early experiences where it wasn't safe to be fully authentic. They're stuck in survival mode and are exhausted.

I believe in the healing power of play, the Buddhist truth that suffering is workable, and that you deserve a space that's honest, warm, and genuinely yours.
Greetings! My people are adults, kids, & teens who are done pretending everything's fine. That includes Black and brown clients healing from racial trauma, LGBTQIA+ folks who need a therapist who actually gets it, gamers tired of being pathologized, and people wrestling with depression, grief, ADHD, or family chaos. They come when the usual coping isn't cutting it anymore. Whether you call it therapy for people of color, therapy for gamers, or just finally finding the right fit — you've landed somewhere that takes all of it seriously. With 30+ years of experience, I bring warmth, humor, and zero judgment. All of you is welcome here.

At times, all of us experience "lostness" - be it around our sense of self, a relationship, a death, or dreams of the past or future. As a culture, we have a hard time being with and navigating through loss and change. I believe they deserve attention. In therapy, my role is to help you learn about yourself, your patterns, and your early survival strategies, working to restore and build connection with your emotions, your body, and what gives you meaning. I specialize in supporting people with attachment and relationship struggles, trauma, and and all forms of grief and loss.
