Central to my work is the concept that our relationship, and the authentic exploration of that relationship, will better help you make meaning out of other important relationships.
One of the hardest parts of starting therapy is finding a therapist that feels like a good fit for you, and I hope to join you in your journey toward greater self-understanding, compassion, and insight. Many people come to therapy after experiencing emotional distress that has led them to feel overwhelmed and as though they have lost direction in, and control of, their life. In a safe and non-judgmental space, I work collaboratively with my clients to explore ways in which they can effectively regain a sense of empowerment, meaning, and control in their lives.

I work with adult individuals and couples using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach.
I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better identify their feelings and how their feelings can affect their thoughts and behaviors. I also use trauma and gender-informed care as many of my clients have experienced support in previous situations that did not honor their trauma history or self-identified gender.

Some of these modalities include: Narrative, Experiential, & Existential therapy, Shadow work, Mindfulness based therapy such as MBSR, EMDR, & Hakomi, Pragmatic Experiential therapy for couples, & Gottman method couples therapy
You don't have to figure this out all by yourself. I can help. It's a hard ask to find a way to be the person you want to be and live the life you want to live without any help or support. It's unreasonable to expect ourselves to perfectly navigate all of the challenges of our relationships without needing some guidance. Sometimes working with a professional can make all the difference.

I love working with individual and couples to identify and address what's holding them back from living their best life.
Whether you come as an individual, a couple, or a family, we can work together to create strong positive communication in any relationship. This is often the first step in moving towards your goals. Discussing needs, values, and priorities in a safe, judgment-free environment can often help clients define a new path forward.

While you are the ultimate expert of your life, it is often valuable to have a trusted guide to help explore and navigate bumps in the road, internal and external conflicts and relationship issues.
I enjoy working with people around identity issues. For some clients this may be coming out as an artist after a career in law. For other clients, this may be reconciling a conflict between religious and sexual identities. I have a particular passion for LGBTQ+ clients and experience working with non-traditional relationships.
