I work primarily with young professionals in their 20s to 40s who sometimes feel like life’s GPS is malfunctioning—whether it’s due to ADHD, anxiety, relationship quagmires, or just the sheer unpredictability of modern life.
My approach blends earnest exploration with a dash of jokes and plenty of 'real talk'. I believe that understanding ourselves is the first step toward truly connecting with others. Life’s chaos doesn’t have to be a solo ride; Therapy is a great way to navigate these twists and turns together, turning confusion into clarity and isolation into connection.

Whether you're grappling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, sexual pain, or any other personal challenge, my goal is to assist you in uncovering underlying issues, embracing your strengths, and fostering positive transformations in your behaviors and thoughts.
Are you a Millennial or Black/POC high-achieving woman, grappling with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism? Do you face added layers of societal expectations and microaggressions, like being overlooked in professional settings or misunderstood in social interactions, which make it harder for you to speak up or seek help. It's tough feeling like you constantly have to prove yourself, both professionally and personally. Perhaps you’ve reached a breaking point where the emotional toll is affecting your health, career and relationships, prompting you to seek therapy.

Neuropsychological evaluations are often helpful in determining the presence and/or extent of problems with thinking abilities, such as those occurring as a result of traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, ADHD, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, cancer, depression, anxiety, and more.
Do you or your family worry about your thinking abilities? Have you always wondered whether your diagnosis is accurate or wished that you had a more comprehensive evaluation of your symptoms? I perform neuropsychological and psychological evaluations that integrate various cognitive and emotional traits into a personalized and thorough evaluation. I regularly perform forensic neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for the court system. As a board certified neuropsychologist, I often perform cognitive testing to assess skills such as intelligence, attention, processing speed, executive functioning, language, and memory.

While I have enjoyed working effectively with a wide variety of individuals, I specialize in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and couples/relationship challenges.
One of the hardest parts of starting therapy is finding a therapist that feels like a good fit for you, and I hope to join you in your journey toward greater self-understanding, compassion, and insight. Many people come to therapy after experiencing emotional distress that has led them to feel overwhelmed and as though they have lost direction in, and control of, their life. In a safe and non-judgmental space, I work collaboratively with my clients to explore ways in which they can effectively regain a sense of empowerment, meaning, and control in their lives.

These are the conditions I am most comfortable treating; however, I have been able to work successfully with clients who have been diagnosed with ADHD, bipolar disorder, conduct disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia.
The most common theoretical approaches I use in my work are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I have also used dialectical behavior therapy when appropriate. I believe there is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy, but that time has to be taken to get to know your client.

I have experience working with adults with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, confidence/self-esteem, body dissatisfaction, medical issues, trauma, and alcohol-related issues.
Maybe your anxiety or depression has reached unmanageable levels, or you're sick of binge eating and you want to improve the relationship you have with food and your body. Maybe you're stuck in thought loops that you don't know how to get out of, or engaging in behaviors that bring you down. Maybe you're suffering from chronic medical issues that you don't want to "burden" others with talking about, or your attention-deficit issues are affecting your relationships or other important areas of your life. I can be here to support you as we figure out together what's not working, and work to develop a plan to overcome those barriers.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
