All therapy I offer falls under the umbrella of CBT, with my specialties being Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP).
One of the initial reasons I wanted to specialize in working with people with OCD is that there are effective, evidence-based treatments for the disorder. This meant I knew I would be working with people who truly had the opportunity to have relief and freedom from their OCD. After working with this population for years I can truly say I feel lucky every single day to work with people with OCD. My patients are smart, driven, funny, caring, and creative. For me, having the opportunity to help these people live their best lives is nothing short of a privilege.

As a trauma-informed clinician with nine years of experience in mental wellness, I support adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, safety concerns, trauma, social injustice, and LGBTQ+ identities. I believe in meeting you where you are, working toward goals together to achieve emotional regulation, trauma processing, and healthier relationships. Central to how I practice is the understanding that many of the thoughts, emotions, or behaviors we most want to change initially helped us survive — and that deserves acknowledgment, not judgment.

You’re the one people count on—at work, in your family, in your relationship. You’re steady, thoughtful, successful… and lately, a little unsettled. Maybe you feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or just quietly worn down by the pressure to hold it all. You want more—more connection, more ease, more truth in how you live and love. You’re not falling apart, but you’re not thriving either. You’re ready to stop bypassing your own needs and start reclaiming your time, your truth, and your right to a life that feels free, grounded, and deeply yours.

I will work hard to make sure you wholeheartedly believe that your mental health diagnosis does not have to define who you are. While I can’t promise that therapy will always be fun and something you look forward to week after week, I do believe therapy has the potential to be transformative for you if you allow it to be. My number one goal is to provide you with a safe space for you to be authentically and unapologetically you, without any filters or judgment. I will always be there to trust you, support you, and gently nudge you (when you need it, and trust me, we all need a little nudge once in a while).

I specialize in treating OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD.
Do intrusive thoughts get stuck in your mind and feel impossible to shake? Thoughts like, “What if I have cancer?”, “What if I don’t actually love my spouse?”, or "What if I hit someone with my car and didn't notice?" These thoughts can feel so threatening that you may end up spending hours googling symptoms, checking things repeatedly, replaying conversations, or seeking reassurance, but the relief never lasts. It can be exhausting, confusing, and scary to live this way. You’re not alone, and effective treatment is available.

Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
