My therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and interactive. I create a comfortable and non-judgmental working environment for my clients, using empathy, honesty, and a sense of humor. I approach each individual treatment collaboratively - establishing treatment goals that are tailored specifically to the individual client's needs. My clients gain understanding and insight that help alleviate symptoms and create positive life changes. Because the way we think affects the way we feel, I help my clients learn how to identify and challenge negative thinking. These practical skills enable them to maintain the level of progress they make during therapy.

Most people I work with are doing well on paper — but still feel stuck. You might be successful, driven, and capable, yet find yourself overthinking, doubting yourself, or feeling disconnected from your confidence and emotions. Maybe you’re tired of always being “the responsible one,” holding it together, or staying productive while something underneath feels unsettled. I’m a warm psychologist with 12 years of experience, and I specialize in working with professionals who want to feel more secure in themselves and break patterns that keep them from living the life they want.

My clients often live with big—and sometimes overwhelming—emotions. They’re deeply empathetic, but struggle to extend that same compassion toward themselves. Many are navigating suicidal ideation, self-harm, disordered eating, or other self-destructive coping strategies. Others are moving through major life transitions or difficult circumstances. In therapy, we focus on building a toolbox of coping skills and practicing what it means to be truly kind to yourself. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, but at its core, it’s about helping you feel better and live a life that feels meaningful.

I have advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, and help clients face intrusive thoughts with less fear and more freedom.
Do intrusive thoughts get stuck in your mind and feel impossible to shake? Thoughts like, “What if I’m a terrible person?”, “What if I don’t actually love my spouse?”, or “What if I get a deadly disease?” These thoughts can feel so threatening that you may end up checking things repeatedly, replaying conversations, or seeking reassurance, but the relief never lasts. It can be exhausting, confusing, and scary to live this way. You’re not alone, and effective treatment is available.

Feeling disconnected steals so much from us: our ability to breathe deeply, explore with curiosity, and learn about ourselves and others. When our thoughts and choices feel misaligned, we often don’t quite feel like ourselves anymore. You might notice that you start to feel exhausted keeping up with the intensity of intrusive thoughts, feelings, stress, or money, and you're not sure what feeling inner calm feels like anymore. This is where I come in. I'm here to support you in gaining tools to let your values lead the life you want to live and reconnect to yourself.

For most of us, especially in the context of romantic relationships, we have things that have happened in our past that influence how we are responding to challenges in the present. These past events do not need to be especially traumatic in order to have an impact. I work with individuals and couples on identifying unhelpful patterns occurring in their present-day lives, help them gain a better understanding of where these patterns started, and - most importantly - I provide actual, meaningful ways to change these unhelpful patterns so that clients can live less chaotic, more meaningful lives.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
