Providing therapy services to people of various ages, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, and socioeconomic status is something I am familiar with, and enjoy doing. I have experience providing multicultural counseling in my graduate school internship, and working in eating disorder treatment & recovery in the past with teens and adults. The main issues I work with individuals on are anxiety, trauma/CPTSD, ADHD, grief/loss, and relationship issues to name a few.

I get along best with the yappers, overthinkers, and the creatives! I love to queer expectations & question everything. I aim to be trauma informed, healing-centered, social justice, intersectionality, and equity-forward and inclusive of all identities & abilities. My work experience is primarily in teen trauma & crisis, where I learned that humor, creativity, and expression is healing. My multidisciplinary toolkit centers on attachment & relation. I want to bring clients to a deeper self-awareness while also helping them invest in connection and their own humanity. Our best selves are built by and exist in our communities.

Do you feel exhausted by work, weighed down by family expectations, or struggling with a mind that won't slow down? Born in mainland China with 20+ years of living experience in North America, I understand firsthand the complexity of navigating two cultures and the emotional weight many clients carry but struggle to put into words. I mainly specialize in work stress, anxiety and depression for professionals; complex family relationships, emotional boundaries, and parent-child dynamics particularly within mainland Chinese families; and ADHD in children and adults. I offer sessions in both English and Mandarin.

Psychological evaluations for immigration cases, probation and court orders and teen support are my passions. I enjoy working with people of all races, ethnicities and cultures, and I am passionate in advocating for social justice issues. I believe that when transgressions occur and cause trauma, one should have a place to find safety. I myself have Dyslexia and HSP (Highly Sensitive Personality), which have presented challenges in my life, but I have learned to use them as the gifts that they are. Being highly sensitive enables me to be an excellent empathetic listener.

I work with kids, teens, and young adults looking to improve their quality of daily life. I have a specific passion for working with Neurodiversity and trauma backgrounds. My approach to treatment is informed by viewing each individual as one-of-a-kind, which requires developing unique and creative solutions. I do this by being highly collaborative and always curious about how to best support you. We each contain multitudes, and these elements of our identity and experiences are like pieces of a puzzle. When it seems like the pieces don't fit, sometimes an extra layer of support is all you need to gain the big-picture clarity.
