Groups
DBT Skills Group for Teens & Parents
The DBT Skills Group for Teens & Parents is a class intended for families and teens who struggle with emotional regulation, impulsivity, parent-teen conflict, and relationship problems. The first 6-week class is scheduled to start in January 2023. Teens in the program often struggle with ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and behavioral disorders. Caregivers participate in a separate class, learning the skills necessary to balance personal self-care while supporting their teen. The entire program consists of four, 6-week modules covering: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and “Walking the Middle Path (Family Relationship Skills)" Skills.
