Hello! So glad that you've come to my profile. My ideal patient is readily looking to change. They've recognized that they want something different. They might be feeling unheard, unimportant, or lost. They may think poorly of themselves. They might even feel hopeless and like this is their last-ditch effort, but part of them still believes there is more. Part of them believes that they deserve something better and they are willing to fight for that better future they deserve. They are willing to stretch themselves, to be uncomfortable, and to do the hard work it takes to change. I want to help them do so.
I believe that relationship is the foundation of effective therapy. Although I have training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, as well as other modalities, my approach is open, warm, and person-centered. I work to stay in the moment, showing compassion and helping patients to feel it towards themselves.
