Dayle A. Brenner Psychotherapy, LCSW-R, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Hoboken
I have 20 years experience treating adults & couples. My expertise for the first 10 yrs was working with eating disorders, and in 2008 I developed an additional specialty in counseling adults who are considering or are already ending a romantic partnership. You may be stuck in a place that is preventing you from feeling decisive about which step is next. I have counseled many individuals at this juncture, offering non-judgemental support, objectivity, compassion and guidance. Working together, I will help you rediscover your confidence and achieve clarity and peace of mind.
Remaining ambivalent in a relationship is frightening. An all too common dilemma, most of us feel we will be "stuck" indefinitely. I will help you sort through your feelings and reach a sound and practical decision. Couples are invited to explore this juncture together to reach a mutual resolution.
My primary approach is cognitive behavioral. My direct but empathic expertise will assist you in examining your beliefs, and explore the thoughts and behaviors that may be stopping you from achieving your goals. We can easily forget our inherent strength and ability. With acute inquiry, guidance and compassion, I will help you to remember.
