Dawn Waldron Nelson's Groups
Anger & Frustration Management
A time-limited group that teaches anger and frustration management to those whom struggle with challenging situations. If a group is not running when you are interested in learning anger management skills, we can do it individually.
Girls with Cutting/Self-harm Issues
This time-limited group addresses the needs and feelings of middle and high school aged girls whom cut or otherwise perform acts of self-harm. The focus is on achieving healthier coping mechanisms to replace the self-harming behaviors, and better self-esteem while recognizing that they are not alone in their challenges.
Supervision for Licensure
Are you searching for a Supervisor to pursue your advanced Social Work License, but time limitations are an issue? Group or individual, with day or evening times available. I offer a group that meets at various locations in the Metroplex and Rockwall County. Online hours are also an option. I have over 25 years of practice including psychiatric, medical, and agency settings with an awareness of social worker's, clients, and employer's needs. IIn addition to having a successful private practice, I also teach for a local university and serve as the NASW North Central Texas-Dallas Branch Chair.
