I have worked in various mental health settings such as not-for-profit, outpatient center, and a geriatric psychiatric hospital. A major focus in my work has been addictions and mental health; helping clients focus on developing healthy coping skills, reducing stress, and preventing burnout. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Ball State University. I then obtained my license in social work. I am striving towards obtaining my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and LCAC (Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor).
I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches,
which empower clients to overcome challenges and build resilience.I am passionate about helping others who suffer from mental health and/or addictions. I
have known since I was a young girl that I wanted to be a social worker.
I chose this profession because I have watched others around me suffer from addiction and/or mental illness. I have witnessed the impacts mental health illnesses and addictions can have on individuals and families. I believe in creating a safe place
where clients can explore their feelings, heal, and grow. My agency also offers med services and management.
