We're all on a journey and sometimes we hit bumps in the road. My goal is to help clients become stronger and more effective when encountering problems while striving to attain their goals. I offer a calm non-judgmental environment so we can lay the cards on the table and figure out the best strategies to problem solve and address needs using strengths and interests. Each individual's treatment will differ.
I particularly like to teach Dialectical Behavior skills such as distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness, or help a person gain a new perspective using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Many people, especially children, benefit and gain insight through play and art. Together we can combine these therapy orientations to meet your needs.
