I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for empathetic communication. I encourage respectful, but compassionate boundaries to build trust, while also being comforted with therapeutic listening skills and the confidence to best support my clients. I have experience with assessment and utilize evidence-based treatment practices and person-centered approach to care. I assist individuals with relationship issues, anxiety, grief, crisis intervention including suicide prevention, disaster and trauma counseling, and I strive to facilitate the maximum use of treatment to allow the highest level of independence possible.
I offer Cognitive Behavioral and Cognitive Processing Therapy, Education and Coping skills to assist clients through treatment and to utilize after treatment. I have worked more than ten years in addictions treatment and have been working with active-duty service members, Veterans and their families, in education and counseling for over 20 years.
I truly want to meet my clients where they are and work together with them to attain the goals they have set for themselves. I look forward to working with you.
