About
Where did my teen go? Your teen is: anxious, unhappy, stressed out &/or traumatized, overwhelmed with school and high expectations, and struggling w/ low self-esteem or trying to "belong." Sometimes you have to walk on eggshells for fear of your teen's anger. The two of you may be struggling more than ever. You want to help but there's distance between you and you feel shut out. Your teen spends a lot of time in the bedroom, out of the house or on the phone. This seems to make things worse. You’re incredibly worried and you're wondering what you could do differently or how to help. You're at a loss. You're not alone.
You want your teen to feel "normal" again. You want your teen to be confident, calm, happy, thriving, & no longer anxious or traumatized. You're ready to stop worrying about her mental & emotional health and well-being. You want to feel connected & closer than ever before. You're ready for your home to feel peaceful. I can help. LGBTQIA+ allied + accepting.
You are not broken. You don't have to heal alone. Clients appreciate my open, honest, & body-based approaches to therapy. Private psychotherapy for 14+ & LGBTQIA+ affirming HS groups: www.warriorgirlsrising.love and FOR Moms: www.dawnkgibson.com I am NOT accepting new psychotherapy clients. I AM accepting new parent/teen coaching clients at this time.

Empowered for LGBTQ+ High School Teens
EMPOWERED is a 12-week psycho-educational program for high school LGBTQIA+ teens. We are LGBTQIA+ affirming. We create a safe and non-judgmental space where teens build self worth, self-confidence, community, & connection, and learn skills that help them thrive. This program helps teens: begin to love themselves; explore gender identity and sexuality; learn how to set clear boundaries; decrease anxiety, stress, and social anxiety; begin to heal emotional issues; learn self-care practices; feel a sense of connection, belonging, and acceptance; gain a deeper understanding of themselves; and make a positive impact on community. http://warriorgirlsrising.love/empowered
