I am a LPC in Texas with 25+ years’ experience including supporting children, adolescents, adult’s and families. My experience as an individual and group therapist includes settings in private and outpatient therapy, therapeutic foster care, psychiatric hospitalization, an academic boarding program, a Christian private school, a residential program for survivors of sex trafficking, substance abuse treatment and prison release/re-entry programs. As a Christian Counselor with a holistic person centered approach I will support you in identifying the problem areas in life, the lies believed, and thinking that keeps you stuck in unwanted behaviors. For youth, it is important to help them learn coping skills, express and redefine experiences by identifying false beliefs leading to destructive behaviors.
In life there are times of hardship, suffering and trials that God can use for our good. It is in those times of learning that we can grow and conform more into His image, develop a compassion for others and our purpose in life can be better defined. I believe the Bible gives hope to overcoming trials and is the greatest source of wisdom.
