I believe relationships are paramount in our lives. This distress may take the form of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-injurious behaviors, or disordered eating.

Camp Girl Power

Camp Girl Power is an empowerment camp for incoming 4th-6th grade girls. Our 2023 Session will be 6/26-6/30 from 9 AM-3 PM (Fee: $360) at Peace Valley Park. Topics covered include: self-esteem, self-identity, self-care, healthy relationships, leadership, and team building. Activities include: role plays, art projects, games, karate, yoga, relay races, small group discussions, and a nutrition lesson. Limited scholarships based on financial need available. Girls Leadership Program

Girls Empowered's (www.girlsempowered.org) Girls Leadership Program for 2023 is 7/10-7/14 from 9 AM-12 PM. It will be held at Peace Valley Park. This program is for incoming 7th-9th grade girls who want to be leaders. Girls will learn the qualities of an effective leader, effective communication skills, healthy decision-making skills, self-care, setting healthy boundaries, and time and stress management. They will use their leadership skills to carry out a community service project. Fee is $260. Limited scholarships available based on financial need. Girls Empowered (www.girlsempowered.org) is excited to be offering a new summer empowerment program in 2023 for high school (incoming 9th-12th grade) girls. The program is being held at Peace Valley Park from August 21st to August 25th from 9 AM-3 PM. This program will help HS girls feel EMPOWERED by exploring potential career options, the college process, learning financial responsibility, how to have healthy relationships, self-defense, stress and time management, and good citizenship.
