My clients tend to be kind and self-aware, yet plagued by some deep-seated pain in their relationship, family, or personal life. Common themes include: faith, relationship issues and/or past trauma.
I take a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approach to our work. Rather than managing symptoms with "band-aid" solutions, this is a long-term modality focused on addressing the root of the problem. (The show "Couples Therapy" illustrates this approach well). I also integrate attachment theory, EMDR, and/or the enneagram as needed.
Finding the right therapist is tricky. Our first session is very relaxed and low-stakes so we can see if it feels like a good fit—if you decide not to continue, the session is free and I'm happy to help you find someone else. Do reach out and I promise to get back to you promptly.
