I am the recipient of the Award for Distinguished Lifetime Contribution to Psychology from the Connecticut Psychological Association.
I am an active clinician/researcher, working with the National Institute of Mental Health. I am Past-President of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and Past-President of the Clinical Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association. I am an Adjunct Professor at Yale School of Medicine.
I am the author of several books such as "The Big Book of Exposures," "Doing CBT," "Buried in Treasures," "Treating Trichotillomania," "Face Your Fears," and "CBT for Hoarding Disorder." I have been featured on the TV series "The OCD Project," "Hoarders," and "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
