About
As a Clinical Psychologist, I believe that change occurs within the individual through understanding and awareness of the issue. By viewing the therapist as a warm, accepting participant, one can develop trust and allow the process of self-exploration to begin. Throughout the process of psychotherapy, the patient can learn about the parts of themselves that remain hidden and out of their awareness. More specifically, aspects of themselves that contribute to their difficulties and prevent personal growth.
The therapeutic relationship plays a special role in the course of therapy. This relationship becomes a microcosm of all other relationships outside the therapy room. Difficulties that occur with others will emerge within the therapeutic relationship. However, these interpersonal issues will be explored and understood within the confines of a safe therapeutic environment.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University.
